Hi, I 'm Curtis Brownjohn
My journey as a creative artist began 20 years ago in Darwin, Northern Territory. I picked up a video camera in my last year of high school and started making little feel-good films for family and friends, documenting our adventures both the exciting and the mundane. I edited these moments together to my favourite songs, getting good at building the energy of the visuals with the flow of the music and hitting the heartstrings just right. Seeing everyone's genuine emotional reactions to the films I was creating gave me such a buzz and I knew that I had found my true calling.
I moved down to Adelaide to study filmmaking and photography at Flinders University, graduating in 2010 with first class honours in Cinematography. After university I worked with local film crews and video production companies before going on to head up Video Production for the Adelaide Football Club. In this role I shot and edited engaging behind-the-scenes content for the club's website and social media platforms as well as big screen content for Adelaide Oval. I also produced two 23-episode seasons of the club's TV show which aired in prime-time slots on Channel Seven throughout the football season.
In 2016 I started my own videography and photography business. For the last decade I've been documenting events, businesses and performances for folks in South Australia. I've captured celebrity weddings, ARIA winning bands and produced content creation for some fantastic corporate clients. It gives me great pleasure being my own boss and delivering high-quality content to a diversity of clients. When it comes my field of focus I do it all and I'm proud to call myself a jack of all trades: a Wedding Videographer & Photographer, Real Estate Videographer, Commercial Videographer and Live Music Photographer.

I relocated to South East Queensland in 2023 and am thrilled to continue plying my creative craft, capturing film and photo magic for my new friends in the sunshine state. When I'm not creating things, you'll find me grabbing a beer in Southbank, eating vegan treats at Netherworld and catching a show at the Fortitude Music Hall. I'm married to an Osteopath in training, father of four cats and owner of a dozen Super 8 film cameras. I love music, video games, snowboarding and watching The Office on loop.
